Framingham Police: How To Survive An Active Shooter
The video, produced in Texas, suggests three things to do - Run, Hide and Fight. There have been 350 mass shootings in the U.S. in 2015.
Framingham Police posted a public service video announcement Monday on what to do if a shooter enters an office or building.
The Run, Hide, Fight PSA states it may be a normal day at the office,“ ’but occasionally life feels more like an action movie than reality.”
And while authorities “are working hard to protect you and our public spaces,” unfortunately “you need to be prepared for the worse.”

Then, the video shows a white male, dressed in black, shoots multiple individuals in a lobby, after pulling a shot gun from a black bag.
The public service video says everyone should have a plan, and it doesn’t need to be “complicated.”

The video suggests three things you can do to make a difference, Run, Hide & Fight.
First and foremost, the video says try to get out of the building.
If that is not possible, try to find a hiding place. Turn off lights, lock doors and silence cell phones.
And thirdly, and only if you are in a life threatening situation, fight back using make-shift weapons.
The last resort is to fight for your life. Arming yourself with improvised melee weapons with a full commitment to taking a shooter down is the last, most desperate course of action.
Since January 1, there have been more than 350 mass shootings in America - almost one a day.
The video also reminds viewers, that when law enforcement first enters a building with an active shooter the prime objective is to find the shooter and not to help the wounded.
The video was produced in Houston, Texas, with the cooperation of Homeland Security.
Framingham Police posted it to its Facebook page Monday morning. There were more than 1,750 views as of midnight Tuesday.
