Framingham Traffic Detours and Delays Announced

FRAMINGHAM, MA - Officials have announced this week's schedule of traffic detours and delays due to construction. The alert told residents to be prepared for construction work at the following places:

CAMPBELL ROAD: The Town will continue replacement of the sewer main, manhole and laterals to the property lines on Campbell Road. Local traffic only. Expect minor delays.

CENTRAL STREET BRIDGE OVER THE SUDBURY RIVER: The contractor will complete curbing and sidewalk work and begin final paving of the roadway and driveway aprons. Traffic will continue to be detoured over the Wickford Road Bridge. During final paving, a detour will be in place on Water Street at Nicholas Road. Please allow additional travel time.

CONCORD STREET (Route 126) DOWNTOWN FRAMINGHAM RECONSTRUCTION: The electrical subcontractor will continue daytime work on street lighting and traffic signals throughout the project. Expect minor delays.

ELLIS STREET: The Town will continue the installation of new water services. Expect minor delays.

MAIN STREET: The contractor will be completing punch list items and striping on Granite Street, Main Street, Maple Street and Moulton Park Road. Expect minor delays.

PRINDIVILLE AVENUE: Eversource will be installing a new gas main and services. A detour will be in effect during construction. Open to local traffic and emergency vehicles only.

ROUTE 9 BRIDGE OVER FOSS RESERVOIR OUTLET: Construction continues on the southern section of the bridge. The westbound pedestrian sidewalk will remain closed. Expect moderate delays.

SEALTEST DRIVE: Ongoing roadway work in the area. Expect minor delays.

SECOND STREET: Eversource will be installing a new gas main and services. Expect moderate delays.

SPEEN STREET: Eversource will be installing a new gas main and services on Speen Street from their electrical substation southbound to Cochituate Road. Expect moderate delays.

WAVERLY STREET: Eversource gas will be installing a new gas main between Daytona Avenue and Palmetto Avenue. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained. Expect moderate delays.

WINTER STREET BRIDGE OVER CSX: The contractor will continue work on the support of excavation off-road adjacent to the eastern side of the bridge. Expect minor delays.

WORCESTER ROAD-Between Route 126 and the Natick Town Line contractors will be performing boring mark-outs. Expect minor delays.
