Girls Outdoor Track Team Loses Season Opener

Flyer Jenny Wagner captured first in the 400 and Courtney Mryglot won both the discus and javelin competitions.

The Framingham High girls outdoor track team opened the season Thursday against Milton and lost 83-53. The team is coached by Dan Ashman.

Senior Courtney Mryglot was a double winner in yesterday's meet. She took first in the javelin and first in the discus with a throw of 79 feet 6 inches.

Halie Olson - mile, with a time of 5:44.

Senior Jenny Wagner - 400, with a time of 1:04.

Sophonore Jessi Taylor 800, at 2:36 minutes.

Amanda Kuczmiec, Taylor Tessa Seales and Wagner combined for a win in the 4X400.

Other Flyers to place were:

Senior Nikki Charifson, second in the mile at 13:16

Sophonore Emma Aka, third in the 100 at 13.8 seconds

Senior Tessa Seales, second in the 400 hurdles in 1:16

Amanda Kuczmiec, third in the 800.

Flyers Christine LaBelle, a sophormore, and Anna Stearns, a freshman, finished second and third respectively in the 200.

Sophomore Lisa Rusch captured second in the triple jump at 28 feet and 11 inches.

Christine LaBelle, tied for second in the high jump with a heaight of 4 feet and 4 inches.

Junior Alyssa Stacey finished second in the discus behind her teammate, with a throw of 73 feet.

Evelyn Osei-Kuffour captured second in the shot put.
