Governor To Attend Fundraiser For Framingham Residents Leombruno and McGrath

The two Framingham residents are seeking re-election to the Republican State Committee from the Second Middlesex and Norfolk District.

Governor Charlie Baker will be in Hopkinton for a Meet & Greet Fundraiser for Framingham residents Ed McGrath & Janet Leombruno, who are running for Re-Election to the Massachusetts State Committee.

The event is next Friday, January 29, from 5 to 7 p.m.,at the home of former U.S. Senate Candidate Brian Herr, 31 Elizabeth Rd, Hopkinton.

McGrath serves as Chair of the Framingham Republican Town Committee and has worked tirelessly to build the grassroots of the Republican Party. He has recruited and helped numerous Republican candidates, including Baker and Lt. Gov. Karyn Polito. During the most recent election, he was responsible for managing the Republican Field Office in Framingham, where he supported the efforts of several Republican candidates running for office in Metrowest. He also served the members of the Massachusetts Republican Party as the Party’s pro bono General Counsel.

Leombruno serves as the Vice-chair of its Republican Town Committee, she’s a long time Town Meeting Member, She is involved in numerous activities to get more people involved in government. She is Vice Chair of Framingham First and has been involved in countless political campaigns both locally and statewide. She was a member of the Baker/Polito team in 2014 serving as Special Assistant to Polito, and in 2010 worked as a Senior Adviser to Mary Z Connaughton who was running for State Auditor.

McGrath & Leombruno are the two candidates in the Second Middlesex/ Norfolk District endorsed by Governor Baker & Lt Governor Polito.

Republican State Committee members are elected on Tuesday, March 1, during the presidential primary.

There are 2 members elected from each senatorial district for the 80 member board that governs the GOP within Massachusetts
