Lady Rams Destroy Fitchburg 83-24

FRAMINGHAM, MA - The Framingham State women’s basketball team defeated visiting Fitchburg State by a score of 83-24 in MASCAC action on Saturday in Framingham.

The Rams improve to 18-6 and 10-2 in conference play.

The Falcons end their 2015-16 campaign at 0-25 and 0-12 in league play.

The Rams were led offensively by sophomore Lauren Donahue, who scored a career-high 22 points while collecting 7 steals. Sophomore Reagan Mulherin scored 15 points while classmate Quinn O’Connell collected 13 points off the bench. Juniors Monta Connolly and Alycia Rackliffe each collected a game-high 13 rebounds.

Junior Shabeli Villa led the Falcons with 11 points and nine boards.

The Rams dominated the first half of play on both sides of the ball leading 26-1 after the first period and taking a 47-3 lead at half time.

The host shot 43 percent from the field and 33 percent from long range while the Falcons converted on 12 percent from the floor and 29 % from long range.
