Learn To Live Your Dream Workshop Tuesday

MetroWest Women's Alliance to host an Empowerment/DreamFactory workshop - Disarming your Private Saboteur and Creating a Community of Support for your Dream on June 5.

Under the experienced instruction of Nancy Cantor, founder and Chief Dream Officer of the Framingham-based DreamFactory Community and Cantor Consulting, participants of the first MetroWest Women's Alliance Empowerment workshop discussed the value of dreams.

Cantor directed attendees to become their own Chief Dream Officer by making changes in their life, work and world. Acknowledgment of your dreams, Cantor informed the group, allows you to tap into your inspiration and guides you to your desired destination.

Although dreams supply a point of focus, a plan is needed to ensure that they become a reality.  “It is like placing a ladder on a building” said Cantor.  “You know where you want to go, but the secure placement of the ladder is ultimately what will determine how easily you will reach your desired destination.“  She encouraged all dreamers to first determine their natural gifts and then plan how they will utilize those gifts to reach their goal. Once the” ladder is placed,” create a community to support the climb.  Create a “buddy system” with a friend to encourage each other to continue to take the necessary steps to realize your dreams suggested Cantor.

Being aware of your dreams and “putting them out there” is the first step said Cantor. Making a plan will be a road map to your destination.  However, Cantor said that the most important skill to learn in dreaming and as your own "Chief Dream Officer" is recognizing and honoring the accomplishment of your dreams.  Noting that you have attained your dream builds confidence and empowers you to create and reach other dreams.

On Tuesday, the MetroWest Women's Alliance will host a second Empowerment/DreamFactory workshop. The focus wil be Disarming your Private Saboteur and Creating a Community of Support for your Dream.
