LETTER: Imperative Republicans 'Work Together To Build A Better Party'

Ashland radio talk show host is supporting Janet Leombruno and Ed McGrath for re-election on March 1.

It saddens me that the campaign for Ma. GOP State Committee has gotten bogged down with lies and deceit.

Republicans comprise a mere 11 percent of the voting population in Massachusetts. With such small representation it is imperative we work together to build a better party.

Instead, it would appear many are working to divide us, ultimately making us a weaker party.

Ronald Reagan once said “a person that agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and ally - not a 20 percent traitor.”

I don’t always agree with Ed McGrath and Janet Leombruno on all the issues, but they embody the sentiment of President Reagan’s quote in all of their actions, and this is why I’m supporting them for re=election to the Ma.Massachusetts GOP State Committee.

Ed and Janet have always worked in the best interest of the party and have done so with fairness and integrity. They have worked tirelessly to get Republicans elected; they have been on the ground floor on ballot questions, managed countless campaigns, overseen call centers and political rallies, and advised and recruited candidates for federal, state and local offices over the years.

Good things are happening in Massachusetts. Both citizens and the legislature are beginning to recognize that the one party rule in Massachusetts has done harm to the state and as a result harm to its residences.

Governor Baker’s bipartisan efforts are benefiting all of us.

Governor Baker is endorsing Ed McGrath and Janet Leombruno because he knows they are the best candidates and leaders to keep this type of momentum moving forward for a better balanced government in Massachusetts!

Please join me in voting for Ed McGrath and Janet Leombruno for Ma. GOP State Committee on Tuesday March 1.
