Matignon/St. Joseph Swim Past Marian 88-68

The Mustangs swim team is now 0-3. Junior Parker Yan won the 200 individual Medley for Marian High.

Matignon/St Joseph’s hosted the Marian High swim team at the Kennedy School Pool in Somerville.

The Mustangs lost 88-68.

The team is now 0-3 on the season, still looking for its first win.

“Marian’s small band of 10 swimmers may not have enough members to win a meet, but we are making waves in the individual events,” said head coach Sue Morse.

Junior Parker Yan placed 1st in the 200 individual medley dropping 13 seconds for a finish time of 2:36.81.

Parker also finished second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:17.29.

Junior Noah T-Miller took home two second place finishes: the 50 freestyle (29.20), and the 500 freestyle (7:06.60) both personal best times.

“I am very proud of the individual and team progress that my swimmers are making this year,” said Morse.
