MetroWest College Planning Center Receives $5,000 Grant from the Sudbury Capital Grant Fund
MetroWest College Planning Center is a partnership between Framingham State and MassBay Community College.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - MassBay Community College and Framingham State University are pleased to announce the awarding of a $5,000 grant from the Sudbury Capital Grant Fund for the MetroWest College Planning Center.
These funds will assist the MetroWest College Planning Center purchase necessary supplies and equipment for their office to help prospective students and their families prepare and apply to college.
The MetroWest College Planning Center is a partnership between Framingham State and MassBay that is aimed at enhancing college readiness, participation and completion among underserved student populations and non-traditional adult learners in the region.

The center opened this year on Sept. 17, and was made possible through grants provided by the Department of Higher Education’s Vision Project Incentive Fund.
A portion of the money was used to renovate the historic 1812 House on Framingham State University’s campus, which at one point was slated for demolition.

Services provided to students and families at the center include comprehensive financial counseling support, college to career pathways, educational resources, and one-on-one advising and mentoring.
