New Life 5K Coming Up On May 7

More teams are signing up as the race date draws nearer, according to the event's organizer.

FRAMINGHAM, MA - New Life is getting ready to host its 5th annual Trail Run on Saturday, May 7 on the Medfield State Hospital grounds, located at Hospital Road and Service Drive in Medfield, an event that historically attracts runners and walkers from all over eastern Massachusetts, according to its organizer.

The term "new life" has taken on an added meaning this year, as runners and walkers are able to participate in a life run or walk for the first time in three years. New Life Furniture of Massachusetts is the race's beneficiary, which is how the name originated.

The route starts on the former hospital grounds and winds through the Charles River Reservation Runners from Greater Boston and MetroWest always participate, according to organizer Tod Dimmick.
