UPDATED: New McAuliffe Library To Open in February
While there will be an open house in February, the official grand opening celebration will take place in May.

This week, the move of books and materials from the old Christa McAuliffe Library branch in Saxonville to the new branch on Water Street began.

The current McAuliffe branch will close on Friday, Feb. 12 at 5 p.m., with the new branch opening the following week. Book drop at the Saxonville branch will remain until March 11.
There will be an open house for the public at the New McAuliffe branch on Saturday, Feb. 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. The Framingham Library Trustees and staff are inviting the public to walk-through the new library to experience the new state-of-the-art building, greet the staff, and learn about the building’s unique architecture.

The new Branch Library building will open for business officially on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 9:30 a.m. after the Presidents Day holiday.
- Monday-Thursday 9:30am-9pm
- Friday 9:30am-5pm
- Saturday 9:30am-5pm
- Sunday 1pm-5pm (until the Main Library reopens)
The Pop-up Library at 25 Clinton St. will remain open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., until the Main Library reopens.
Once the Main Library reopens, we will resume full programming, including our popular Sunday Concert Series, and access to the Main Library’s collection and services. The McAuliffe Branch will not be open on Sundays once the Main Library reopens.
There will be a grand opening celebration of the new Water Street branch on May 15.
