No Vacation From Road Construction: Where to Expect Delays and Detours

“A” Street/North Concord Street: The northern portion of "A" Street from the intersection of Concord Street to Winch Park Road will be temporarily closed to through traffic while sewer main construction is in progress.  Construction activities are anticipated to progress north from the “A” Street Waste Water Management Facility crossing Concord Street to tie-in to the newly installed deep gravity sewer main in an easement adjacent to Concord Street.  When construction activities progress from “A” Street crossing Concord Street, traffic will be maintained utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan.

An additional crew will be performing sewer main construction on Concord Street working from the intersection of “A” Street to School Street. While construction is in progress, traffic will be managed through the work zone utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan.

Chouteau Avenue/LaSalle Avenue/Lake Road/Lakeview Avenue
Construction crews will continue to install temporary water main bypass piping on Chouteau Avenue, LaSalle Avenue, Lake Road and Lakeview Avenue.  Crews will also continue to install deep gravity sewer main on Choteau Avenue.  While construction is in progress it will be necessary to detour local traffic around the work zone.  Expect delays while traveling in this area.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Chouteau Avenue/LaSalle Avenue/Lake Road/Lakeview Avenue Active Work Zone Map

Eisenhower Road: Construction crews will continue to perform sewer main construction on Eisenhower Road working from Eaton Road towards Arbetter Drive. While construction is in progress, traffic will be jogged through the work zone with lane shifts and could potentially be managed utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan.  Expect delays while traveling in this area.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Eisenhower Road Active Work Zone Map

Grant Street/Clinton Street: Construction crews will continue to perform water main construction on Clinton Street.  While construction is in progress, Clinton Street will be temporarily closed to through traffic between Concord Street and Grant Street while construction is in progress.  Water main service installation will continue on Grant Street between Howard Street and Everit Avenue; which may require local detours, lane shifts and potentially the use of a one lane alternating traffic management plan through the work zone.  Expect delays while travelling in this area.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place daily between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Grant Street/Clinton Street Active Work Zone Map

Hollis Street/Irving Street: Construction crews will continue to perform water main installation on Hollis Street progressing from Hollis Court to Irving Street.  While construction is in progress on Hollis Street; Hollis Street will be reduced to a single lane of travel for both northbound and southbound traffic, please use caution when travelling in this area.  In order to maintain public safety, minimize adverse impacts on emergency response time, traffic flows and business in general, construction activities will be performed during the overnight hours between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. Pleasant Street: The Department of Public Works Highway Division will continue to perform roadway reconstruction activities on Pleasant Street between Vernon Street and Mill Street.  While construction activities are in progress, traffic through the work zone will be managed utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan. All construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Expect delays while traveling in this area.  

Prospect Street: Construction crews will begin to perform drainage repairs and installation on Prospect Street.  While construction activities are in progress, traffic will be managed through the work utilizing a one lane alternating traffic management plan.  Expect delays while travelling in this area.  All construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Prospect Street Active Work Zone Map

Sidewalk Restoration – South Concord Street: The Department of Public Works Highway Division will perform sidewalk restoration on the east side of Concord Street between Lincoln Street and Hartford Street.  While construction activities are in progress, there is a potential for lane shifts.  Please use caution when travelling in the area.  Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. 

Department of Public Work’s Roadway Program
The Department of Public Work’s Highway Division will continue to perform roadway modifications in the following locations:  Burbank Circle, Corrine Drive, Davidson Road, Gregory Road, Hadley Road, Joyce Road, Lancaster Drive, Oakvale Road, Overlook Drive West, Rolling Lane, Sloan Drive, Whittemore Road.  Roadway construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.  Expect delays when travelling in these areas.
