POLITICAL NOTEBOOK: Monzon, Finlay Fundraisers This Week

Monzon Election Kick-Off

On Wednesday, Feb. 24, the Committee to Elect Cesar Monzon for Selectman will hold its kick-off event at the Framingham Elks from 6 to 8 p.m.

Monzon is one of three candidates for two 3-year Selectmen seats. Election is Tuesday, March 29. He announced his candidacy in November 2015.

“Monzon is a retired Census Data Specialist from the US Dept. of Commerce. He is a proven leader with years of experience in management, leadership and consensus building. A former member of the Framingham School Committee, Monzon has the skills and the enthusiasm needed to continue the progress that Mike Bower and the board have made by moving Framingham forward and continuing to be business friendly, while securing a strong commercial tax base. Cesar Monzon is a graduate of Merrimack College and has a Master of Science in Management from Lesley University,” said the campaign.

Finlay Fundraiser

Selectman Jason Smith is hosting a private fundraiser at his home for School Committee candidate Rick Finlay on Thursday, Feb. 25.

Finlay is one of three candidates for two 3-year seats on the Framingham School Committee. He announced his candidacy in November 2015. Finlay is previous School Committee member.
