Resiliency For Life Named Finalist for Nonprofit Award
Friends of Resiliency for Life selected for the inspiring leadership demonstrated by its Board Chair Todd Witherow to create a highly functioning, effective Board of Directors dedicated to the most at-risk youth of Framingham.

Friends of Resiliency for Life, an education and youth organization in Framingham, has been selected as a finalist for the 2012 Nonprofit Excellence Awards.
The Excellence Awards are given each year to outstanding nonprofit organizations and professionals in the Commonwealth as part of Massachusetts Nonprofit Network’s Nonprofit Awareness Day, a state-wide holiday recognizing the nonprofit sector in Massachusetts.
Friends of Resiliency for Life has been selected as a finalist for the Nonprofit Excellence Award in Board Leadership for the inspiring leadership demonstrated by its Board Chair Todd Witherow to create a highly functioning, effective Board of Directors dedicated to the most at-risk youth of Framingham.

Under his leadership, the Board of Directors has championed programmatic enhancements through corporate and individual contributions to support schoolers after graduation – ensuring that support continues post-high school and into the college years or job search process.
Not only has Resiliency for Life’s Board taken an active role in the fundraising process, but their engagement with the students served by the organization is evident in the resounding success of the organization to positively influence Framingham youth for the better and help them succeed in school and life.

“Our communities would not be the same without the extraordinary work of nonprofits,” said Rebecca Donham, trustee of the MetroWest Nonprofit Network. “These finalists represent the best of an exceptional group of individuals and organizations serving our region and the Commonwealth.”
Excellence Award finalists and winners are nominated by community members and their peers and are selected by an independent panel of nonprofit leaders.
This year, Massachusetts Nonprofit Network received 122 Nonprofit Excellence Award nominations.
“Nonprofit Awareness Day was created to recognize the essential role that over 25,000 statewide nonprofits, with nearly a half million employees, play in our lives,” said Rick Jakious, CEO of the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network. “These finalists represent the very best of this critical sector.”
Nonprofit Excellence award finalists and winners will be celebrated at the 2012 Nonprofit Awareness Day celebration on the morning of June 11 at the Massachusetts State House.
