Senator Brown in Framingham Friday to Discuss Violence Against Women [VIDEO]
Sen. Scott Brown And His Sister To Hold Press Conference On Domestic Violence Friday In Framingham.
Tomorrow, March 23 U.S. Senator Scott Brown, along with his sister, will hold a press conference in Framingham to discuss the importance of reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act.
Brown will touch on his own childhood experience with domestic violence, and the abusive relationships he and his family went through.
The press conference at , 300 Howard St. will follow a private tour of the the Framingham shelter for victims of domestic violence, as well as a roundtable discussion with victims’ rights advocates, where Brown will hear their concerns and discuss what can be done at a federal level to help.

“For me, this is a personal issue,” said Brown in a press release. “Growing up, my sister and I experienced the trauma of domestic violence first-hand, and I remember how alone and powerless my mother felt. It is why I feel so strongly about this issue, and why I am working to pass the Violence Against Women Act.”
