Fatality On Framingham-Worcester Commuter Line: UPDATE
A person was struck and killed by a train on the Worcester Line, the MBTA said. Commuter rail delays persist.

WELLESLEY, MA – Service has resumed but severe delays persist on the commuter rail line between Wellesley Square and Framingham after a person was struck and killed by a train in Wellesley.
MBTA Transit Police said that around 6:20 p.m. an approximately 59-year-old man was struck by an outbound train on the Worcester Line just past the Beacon Street overpass. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Just before 9 p.m., the MBTA said service on the Framingham-Worcester line has resumed at restricted speeds, and significant delays are expected to persist. Follow the MBTA Commuter Rail here for ongoing updates.

The Wellesley Police Department and MBTA Transit Police are investigating the incident. They are asking residents to avoid the area. Transit Police and the Middlesex District Attorney's Office are investigating the incident. Foul play is not suspected, according to police.
