A wintery mix is in the forecast Monday night and Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service. The exact accumulation was unclear, as the snow is expected to mix with rain Tuesday night.

The wintry mix of precipitation will be in the form of snow, sleet and freezing rain and will impact a majority of southern New England before transitioning into rain.
