Sudbury Savoyards Stage Ruddigore, Despite Tragic Loss

Tomorrow, Feb. 24 is opening night of The Sudbury Savoyards' production of Gilbert & Sullivan's Ruddigore; there is a special rehearsal performance tonight at 8.

The show must go on ...

In January, The Sudbury Savoyards in the midst of preparing for its production of Gilbert & Sullivan's Ruddigore lost its director Peter A. Stark of Framingham. Stark died in a car crash on Route 9.

This weekend, the theatrical troupe will raise the curtain on the production. Shows are Feb. 24 & 25 and March 2 & 3 at 8 p.m. and Feb. 26 and March 3 at 2 p.m.at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School's theatre.

"One of our leading ladies is Framingham resident, Kathleen Larson Day," said Andrea Roessler, of Framingham, who oversees publicity for The Sudbury Savoyards. Several other Framingham residents are in the chorus or part of the staff.

Performance tickets are $22 adults, $17 seniors and students and $12 for children unde 12.

There is a dress rehearsal performance tonight, Feb. 23 at 8. All tickets are $15.
