Tovar, Gordon Advance In Framingham's Mini-Preliminary Election
The city's only preliminary election featured three candidates for the District 2 School Committee seat.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — Lorena Tovar and David Tomas Gordon have won Framingham's mini preliminary election in the District 2 School Committee race.
The preliminary election was held on Sept. 16 and saw Gordon garner 81 votes and Tovar get 146 votes. Luther T. Evans gathered only 24 votes and will not move on to November's city elections.
Only voters in Precincts 25, 26 and 27 participated in the race, in which the top two candidates advanced to the city election on Nov. 4.

This year's election will be headlined by a mayoral race between incumbent Charlie Sisitsky and Geoff Epstein, who served on the Framingham School Committee and, previously, on the School Committee in Newton.
