Detours To Continue on Edgell and Belknap

Fiber optic communication line installation and sewer manhole work will occur on Concord Street north of Worcester Road (Route 9) and south of School Street.

 As motorists discovered yesterday, road work has returned to Edgell Road. South bound traffic on Edgell Road will be detoured onto Belknap to Grove and back to Edgell. Truck traffic on Edgell Road southbound will be detoured onto Belknap to Pleasant Street due to height restrictions on Grove. Oversize loads will be kept on Edgell and moved through the work zone with the help of police details.

Auburn Street:  Auburn Street has been re-opened to through traffic. Minor construction activities will take place, reducing traffic patterns to a one lane alternating traffic pattern, please use caution while traveling in this area. Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Anzio Road: Construction crews will continue to perform water main and sewer main construction on Anzio Road. While construction activities are in progress, Anzio Road will be closed to through traffic. Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Clifford Street, Cypress Street and Mellen Street: Construction crews will continue to perform water main and sewer main construction on Clifford Street, Cypress Street and Mellen Street. While construction activities are in progress, Clifford Street, Cypress Street and Mellen Street will be restricted to local traffic only. Construction activities are scheduled to take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Police detail officers will be present to ensure safe vehicular and pedestrian travel.
