Here are 5 things you missed at Monday's Town Meeting.

Town Moderator Raymond Mead led the meeting again, after running unopposed for the position. He returns to the post he held before Roger Trahan took over while Mead chose not to run.

Mead welcomed new selectmen John Dowling and John Carlson and thanked outgoing selectmen Mary Ann Cotton and Chris LeMay, both of whom chose not to run again. He said of the tall veteran selectman LeMay : "Some say he's the best selectman they ever met. He's certainly the biggest.''

After some discussion, and questions, voters rejected an article that created a new bylaw to determine how to handle costs associated with hazardous waste releases. Voters said they needed more specifics.

For similar reasons, voters rejected an article that would have established a committee to oversee the town's current buildings. The make-up of the board was one of the questions raised.
