4. Working in your field while in college is an asset, say employers. According to a new survey from Accountemps, 91 percent of chief financial officers (CFOs) interviewed said it is important for entry-level accounting and finance professionals to get practical experience while in college. The company said it researched 1,400 CFOs from a random sample of US companies with 20 or more employees.
