4. The Red Sox season starts soon, so maybe it’s time for some good news about one of its pitchers. Daniel Bard will be the 2012 Jimmy Fund Rally Against Cancer Spokesplayer. He will be an ambassador for the Jimmy Fund to raise awareness and build support for cancer care and research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Rally Against Cancer encourages Red Sox fans to partner with their workplaces and schools by encouraging co-workers, classmates, and friends to each contribute $5 or more to the Jimmy Fund.
