Abandoned Bear Cub Finds New Home

Tufts treats the cub, which is headed to a rehabilitator.

We can't bear to think what might have happened to this cub if it hadn't been found.

This 5-month-old bear cub was abandoned in Oakham and was tick-infested and dehydrated when it was found.

The cub was seen for three days without a visit from its mother when officials decided to take action.

Homeowners are urged to take in bird feeders and other
potential food sources this time of year to keep bears from associating food with
residential areas.

The cub is now headed to a wildlife rehabilitator.
