All Four Precincts Turn Down Project

In the end, it wasn’t even close.

The library question was defeated today by voters in all four precincts.

The issue was closest in precinct 3, where 608 voters rejected the measure, while 537 supported it.

The margin was wider in the remaining precincts:

Precinct 1: 569 no, 203 yes

Precinct 2: 657 no, 399 yes

Precinct 4: 672 no, 334 yes

A total of 4,024 votes were cast out of the town’s more than 11,000 registered voters.
