
A Grafton man was sentenced this week to one year in the House of Correction after being found guilty of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, a dog.
Kyle E. St. Martin, 23, 19 Elliot Trail, was ordered by Judge Vito Virzi at Westborough District Court to serve six months of that sentence, with 19 days credit.
St. Martin was arrested Feb. 6 by on a warrant. He was charged with two counts of assault and battery and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (a dog) for an incident that occurred on Feb. 5.

He was also ordered by Virzi to enter and complete an in-patient program for drugs and alcohol, and to submit to random screenings for both. Virzi also ordered him to have no contact with the victim.
