Man Held by Police is Not Robber

Grafton Police release man and are still searching after Westborough armed robbery.

A man detained at the intersection of Route 122 and Bridge Street in Grafton is not the man wanted in a Westborough armed robbery, Grafton police said.

Moments ago, Grafton police confirmed that they are releasing the man who had been detained. He was held because he fit the description of the robbery suspect.

The man was detained in connection with an armed robbery of Robinson Music, 108 Milk St., Westborough.

At about 11:45 a.m., Westborough police received a report of an armed robbery at , 108 Milk St. The department has confirmed that police are currently on the lookout for a man believed to be the suspect. No one was hurt in the incident, according to the department.

According to reports, the suspect showed a weapon. He is described as a white man in his 20s, about 5’5” tall. Witnesses report that he had a “chin strap beard” and was wearing a blue and white striped shirt. An employee at the store reportedly hit the floor during the robbery but was able to quickly stand and make a call to 911.

There is no word on what direction the suspect went after the robbery. Police do not know if he fled in a car or on foot.
