BREAKING NEWS: Halloween Is Saturday

Selectmen approve change of date in light of the storm.

Selectmen agreed to move Halloween to Saturday, Nov. 5 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Selectman chairman Peter Adams said he was initially reluctant to move Halloween because "holidays shouldn't be controlled by the government,'' but changed his mind after getting feedback.

"It does mean a lot to the children,'' he said.

He warned children that some people may not have gotten the word about the change of date so they may not be prepared for them.
