Bridge Street Bistro Gets Warning

The restaurant is charged with serving alcohol to a minor.

Selectmen issued a warning to last night after the restaurant was charged with serving alcohol to an underage person.

This was the first such incident at the restaurant, police said. Another violation will result in an automatic one-day suspension of the establishment’s liquor license.

The restaurant served an underage person who attempted to purchase alcohol during a sting operation Dec. 22 by the , Det. William Kuck told selectmen.

During that same sting, Olde Post Office Pub was also charged with serving the underage individual. They were the only two establishments in town to serve her during the sting.

Management at Bridge Street Bistro accepted the warning and told selectmen the incident would never be repeated.
