Car Crashes Into Grafton Home, Leaving It Uninhabitable

GRAFTON, MA β The driver was injured and a home left uninhabitable after a car crashed into a Grafton home Wednesday afternoon, Grafton Fire said in a Facebook post.

Two other occupants and a pet got out of the car and were not hurt, while the driver was taken to the hospital, according to officials.

Heavy equipment was brought to the scene to remove the car, officials said.
The home's owner, John McNamara, told WCVB that he and his wife were sitting in their living room having coffee when the car slammed into their house.

"Just a loud crash. Like a bomb went off," McNamara said to the outlet. "Opened up the door to the three-season porch, and that's when I saw the car right there. Terrible."
It isn't yet known what caused the car to veer off the road.
"A simple car accident and now your house is torn down β or getting torn down," McNamara told WCVB. "You know, where do you go from here?"
