Concert Showcases Musical Talent
Apple Tree Arts will perform a variety of music Feb. 27.

Apple Tree Arts showcases the acoustic and vocal talents of its faculty, staff and friends at 4 p.m. Feb. 27 at the , 30 Grafton Common.
Concert admission is $12 for adults, $5 for students and children, with a $20 family maximum. Tickets are available at the door.
Classical, gospel, contemporary and Broadway music will be featured. Monica Hatch, well-known vocalist, will sing a classical song. Lisa Scarlett, theatre arts director, will perform a popular number from the Broadway show “Wicked.”

The afternoon will be filled with the sounds of several accomplished faculty members playing a variety of instruments. Nina Bishop Nunn will perform a classical violin piece, Tina Ho will play a piano number and Christine Tsen will play the cello. Tim Gruntman will play a classical guitar.
Apple Tree Arts Community Chorus will perform “Mountain Music,” “He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother” and “Fields of Gold.” The 25-member group performs at a several community events each year.

A trio of singers from the will perform the traditional folk song “Poor Wayfaring Stranger.”
Founded in 1989, Apple Tree Arts has grown to serve more than 1,000 children and adults annually with a variety of early childhood music classes, private music instruction, group keyboard lessons, ensembles, theatre arts programs and concerts.
