BREAKING NEWS: Sexually Dangerous Label Sought for Addeo
Registered sex offender Brian Addeo would have to remain at Bridgewater indefinitely.

The district attorney’s office is seeking to have Grafton resident and registered sex offender Brian Addeo declared a sexually dangerous person.
If that happens, Addeo, who made headlines last spring for removing his monitoring bracelet and fleeing the area, will remain at Bridgewater State Hospital, where he is now staying, indefinitely.
A hearing date has not been set yet for Addeo to be declared sexually dangerous, said Timothy J. Connolly, spokesman for Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early.

Addeo was captured in Augusta, Maine, March 16, several days after allegedly cutting off his GPS monitoring bracelet and tossing it into the back of a pickup truck in the parking lot of Home Depot in Tewksbury.
Wearing the monitoring bracelet was one of the requirements of his parole. He was released on lifetime community parole April 29, 2010 after pleading guilty to a number of charges.

These charges included four counts of statutory rape of a child, three counts of indecent assault and battery of a child under 14 and indecent assault and battery of a person over 14.
Addeo had been serving an automatic six-month sentence at the Worcester County House of Correction in West Boylston for breaking his parole by removing the bracelet. He was then transferred to Bridgewater State Hospital.
He was in Central District Court in Worcester today on charges of counterfeiting. He pled guilty and the charge was filed.
The counterfeit money charge, which is separate from the bracelet incident, resulted when he allegedly passed a counterfeit bill Dec. 8 to owner Michael Adwe at Grafton Auto Sales, 101 Worcester St.
