Dunkin' Donuts Eyes Expansion

An expanded drive-through could ease traffic congestion, the company says.

Plans for a possible expansion at , including an additional drive-through lane, will be discussed May 31 at a Zoning Board meeting.

Officials at the company want to expand the rear of the property at 72 Worcester St. to allow additional cars to make the drive-through loop on the site, Building Inspector Robert Berger said.

This is aimed at alleviating congestion on Worcester Street, which can get clogged with cars waiting to pull into the drive-through.

Dunkin’ Donuts also wants to knock down a shed on the property and replace it with a building where drivers in the second drive-through lane would receive service from.

This would be a two-story building, with the second floor used as office space for their business, Berger said.
