E.L. Harvey Release Trash Schedule For Next Two Years

Trash collection will continue unchanged through 2015.

Every few years trash collection company E.L. Harvey reviews their schedule and their trash and recycling programs in town. This year very little has changed.

The trash pickup schedule has not changed; if your trash gets picked up on Tuesday now, it will continue to be on Tuesday through 2015.

What has changed is the amount of recycling by residents.

"The Town’s Pay-As-You-Throw program continues to provide real savings by reducing the amount trash that is sent to the incinerator," a flyer from E.L. Harvey says. "Recycling continues to increase and the automated carts that we started using in June 2012 have increased your annual recycling by over 52,000 lbs!"

The holidays remaining this year when trash will not be collected are: Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. On Holiday weeks all days after the Holiday will be bumped back by one day.
