Grafton falls in the Second Congressional District, where a battle ensued for candidacy between Tracy Lovvorn and Kevin William Powers on the Republican ballot. Otherwise, there was little contested in Grafton.

According to the Boston Globe, the AP called Rep. Jim McGovern, Democratic nomination for U.S. House in the 2nd Congressional District.

The New York Times reports that Tracy Lovvorn, running for the Republican U.S. House District 2 against Kevin Powers, had 5,936 votes to Powers's 3,654 with 26 percent of all precincts reporting.
