A small overnight fire in a garage at 20 Brielle Road damaged a vehicle and a lawn mower but caused no structural damage, Chief Michael Gauthier said.
The fire at 20 Brielle Road was reported at 1:13 a.m. Smoke detectors were activated and the homeowner got the family to safety, shut the door to the garage and dialed 911.
The cause of the fire is undetermined but is believed to be accident, Gauthier said.Â
