Grafton Center Playschool went on a field trip to the on Thursday, May 10 and Friday, May 11.
The event was attended by two different classes with many parent volunteers as well as teachers. The day started with a walk across the street to the fire station, then a safety lesson on items in your home or community to be aware of, followed by a wonderful tour of the station itself and all the fire trucks, equipment and materials used at a fire.

Firefighter Ryan Connors taught the children about safety, what do to in case of a fire and how to respond to a firefighter's call. The children were very attentive and gained important knowledge about fire safety. They were all enthusiastic about taking a picture with their new firefighter friend.
Grafton Center Playschool is hoping the field trip will reinforce lessons on fire safety and what to do in an emergency while with their families, friends or in the community.
