Five In Race for Selectman
It's official: Five candidates are running for two open seats.

With the deadline for submitting nomination papers past, there will be only one race in the upcoming election.
But it promises to be an interesting one.
Five candidates are running for the two open seats on the Board of Selectmen now held by Christopher LeMay and Mary Ann Cotton. Neither is running for reelection.

The candidates are: John L. Carlson, John B. Dowling, Robert W. Lewis, Daniel Pogorzelski and Bruce W. Spinney III.
Carlson, Lewis and Pogorzelski are former selectmen.

The remaining races are uncontested. Those candidates are: Donna Stock, School Committee; Charles A. Ville, three-year term, Board of Library Trustees; Raymond Mead, Town Moderator; David C. Robbins, two-year term, Planning Board; Holly Walton, three-year term, Board of Library Trustees; James J. Gallagher Jr., five-year term, Housing Authority; Faith Margaret Muello, two-year term, Housing Authority; James B. Walsh III, three-year term. Planning Board; and Doug Bowman, one-year term, Board of Library Trustees.
