Flood Watch Issued for Area

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for southern Worcester County.

Widespread rainfall of 1 to 3 inches is expected into the evening.

The potential exists for some areas to receive 3 to 5 inches of rain. These amounts would result in sharp rises on rivers and streams.

A few rivers may approach or even exceed their banks.

State Police have also urged caution when driving. Numerous spinouts have been reported.
