Fly the Flag Sept. 11, Legion Urges

Flags will honor those killed in the 2001 attacks.

The American Legion Delisle-Goulet Post 92 in North Grafton is encouraging all Grafton residents to display their flag Sept. 11 in observance of Patriot Day.

On that day, Legion supporters hope Americans will fly their flags half staff from sunup to sundown and observe a moment of silence in honor of those who died 10 years ago in the terrorist attacks.

They also remind residents that in 2009, President Obama signed the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, which recognizes Sept. 11 as a day for Americans to make a commitment to serve their nation and their community.
