Gas Prices on the Decline

The price of gas in Massachusetts fell five cents over the past week, the fourth week in a row it's gone down, according to AAA Southern New England.

The average price for a gallon of regular self-serve gasoline in the state now stands at $3.71. That's 18 cents lower than a month ago and 22 cents lower than a year ago, the Worcester Business Journal reports.

The current Massachusetts price is a penny less than the national average.

As of yesterday afternoon, Grafton gas prices at stations on Worcester Street were:

$3.73 per gallon at the XtraMart

$3.74 per gallon at the BP

$3.73 per gallon at Mike’s Car Care Center
