Girl Scouts Host Benefit Bake Sale

This tasty event benefits Heifer Project.

Grafton Girl Scout Junior Troop 30220 will be holding a bake sale from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 5 at  , 100 Worcester St., Grafton, to support Heifer International.

The girls have been working toward their Agent of Change award which requires a service project on a national or international level.  They have chosen Heifer International because of  the organization’s integrity and success.

Heifer helps empower millions of families to lift them out of poverty and hunger to self-reliance through gifts of livestock, seeds and trees and extensive training, which provide a multiplying source of food and income. This simple idea of giving families a source of food rather than short-term relief—a cow not a cup —caught on and has continued for more than 65 years.
