Grafton Arts Festival Shows Off Local Masterpieces
An estimated 1,000 area residents attended the free arts festival in Grafton on Saturday.
While hundreds of works from local artists hung on display, at the 8th annual Grafton Arts Festival, instructors were teaching local children how to play drums and musicians were entertaining the crowd with original songs.Â
The event draws an estimated 1,000 area residents every year to view local art, vote on the best pieces and promote the town's art programs.Â

Stephen Halpert started the event eight years ago as a way to show children the benefits of creating art.Â
"I think it's important that they get a chance to exhibit their work," Halpert said. "It gives kids the opportunity to learn."Â
