Grafton Celebrates the Holidays Sunday

Don't miss this hometown holiday celebration.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and in Grafton, Sunday, Dec. 4 is the most wonderful day of all.

Grafton Celebrates the Holidays is annual celebration of the season. A wide range of holiday activities is planned, ending with a visit from Santa on a fire truck and the lighting of the tree on the Common.

Frosty Stop 1: , 11 Willard St.

Celebrate a traditional 19th century holiday.

Frosty Stop 2: , 100 Westborough Rd.

Staff and student carolers will entertain from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., visit the animal menagerie.

Frosty Stop 3: , 135 Westborough Rd.

A festive open house from noon to 3 p.m.

Frosty Stop 4: New England Village, , 53 North Main St. and , 10 Overlook St.

A gingerbread house contest and cookie walk at St. Andrew’s from noon to 3:30 p.m.

Baked goods and mini-craft fair at North Grafton Methodist. Lunch served.

Kids make snow flake ornaments while adults enjoy a chair massage at the spa.

Make s’mores on an outdoor fire after a horse-drawn wagon ride. See displays from town non-profits, including, Grafton Land Trust, and Grafton Garden Club.

Santa will visit from noon to 3:30 p.m., get free photo with Santa. Drop-off site for Toys for Tots through Dec. 16.

Frosty Stop 11: 79 Hair Design, 79 Worcester St.

Free chair massages for adults, hair braiding with beads and nail polishing.

Frosty Stop 12: , 28 Providence Rd.

Tour the station and meet department members from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Free badges and coloring books for children; meet McGruff the Crime Dog. Free kids’ ID kits from Charter Communications.

Frosty Stop 13: , 30 Providence Rd., Food Bank craft fair and lunch.

Soup, sandwiches and crafts from area artisans from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drop-off site for Toys for Tots and for non-perishable food for the Grafton Food Bank.

Refreshments, tours, drop off letters to Santa. Collection site from 1 to 3 p.m. for Share the Warmth, help Junior Girl Scout troop 30225 collect new and gently used coats, mittens, hats and gloves for adults and new bed linens.

Free samples of appetizers.

Have a photo taken of your pet with Santa from noon  to 4 p.m. Proceeds benefit Dog Orphans, a non-kill shelter in Douglas.

Tour the model home at WGB Homes while children decorate holiday ornaments.

Frosty Stop 26: Brookmeadow Crossing, 377 Providence Rd., South Grafton.

Children can ride the trackless train and pet the Angel Hair Alpacas.

At Millbury Federal Credit Union from noon to 4 p.m., refreshments and coffee will be served, drop-off for non-perishable food for the Grafton Food Bank.
