Grafton Clean Up Day

Think Globally, Act Locally - Keep Grafton Green!

In celebration of Earth Day, teams of volunteers are being organized to clean up the trash along the streets, in neighborhoods, on the school playgrounds, and in parks throughout Grafton. You, your family, and friends can be a part of this Town-wide effort, which is sponsored by the Grafton Garden Club, a non-profit 501(c)(3).

It’s easy. Contact chair-person Helen Blazis at markblazissafaris@gmail.com and let her know which area of town you would like to clean up. Then go to the Grafton Highway Department (DPW), at 64 Old Westborough Road to pick up the yellow bags you use and a sheet of instructions. These are available at the DPW from April 15 through 19, 2024. Or you can get bags, gloves, and the instruction sheet on the Grafton Common on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 9:00 to noon.

You can pick up the trash any time during the week of April 15-20, 2024. Just contact the DPW at 508-839-8525 and let them know where you have left your filled bags. It’s that simple.

Each volunteer receives a coupon redeemable for a pizza or sandwich at Pepperoni Express and a coupon for Swirls & Scoops where you get a soft serve, child size cone. Both coupons may be redeemed only on April 20, 2024.

The Grafton Department of Public Works is providing free red oak and white dogwood saplings for Grafton residents to plant. The trees are available at the Common on April 20, 2024 from 9am until noon.
