An issue with a subcontractor handling hardware for doors and the rolling door for the school store will likely keep the substantial completion date from taking place June 1, which had once been a target date.

The B and C wings are essentially finished, with a few ceiling tiles missing and some flooring work to be completed, McCarthy said.
The focus is now on the A wing, with work being concentrated on the dining area, gym and kitchen.

The second turf field is projected to be available in September. By spring 2013, he hopes, all teams should be on the high school fields.
If the school comes in under budget by an amount defined as inconsequential, the money would be returned to the town’s general fund, he said,
If the amount remaining is consequential, which he described as in the hundreds of thousands or more, the money must be used for a future building project in town, he said.
Town Meeting would have to approve that, he said.
