Grafton's Longtime Dog Officer Leaving Position
The town is entering into an agreement with two other towns to share services.

GRAFTON, MA—Grafton's longtime dog officer is stepping aside to allow the town to combine animal control responsibilities with Westborough and Shrewsbury, according to reports.
Gene Ploss has been the town's officer for 52 years, and Selectmen voted to sign the multi-town agreement saying that Ploss's arrangement with the town could pose liability issues, reports the Grafton News.
One Selectman opposed the decision citing Ploss's long time devotion to the town and love of animals.
