Group Aims to Bring Business to Town
The Grafton Economic Development Commission sets goals.

The Grafton Economic Development Commission is in the business of attracting companies to town.
Committee members presented goals to selectman Tuesday night in an effort to “reenergize our commitment’’ to the business community, vice chairman Sue Robbins said.
The commission, which promotes, encourages and facilitates economic development in town, has set the following eight goals:

To advocate for and support mixed-use zoning within South Grafton Mill Villages.
To reestablish and strengthen the relationship with the Worcester Business Development Corporation to complete the development of Centech Park and adjacent property.

To study, identify and review all available commercial land in town.
Identify ways to offer incentives to businesses or property owners to develop available land.
Identify and promote areas where zoning changes are needed to support economic development.
Establish that the master plan is still relevant and work with related committess to ensure the economic development goals are met
Promote and facilitate conversations between the town and businesses to find ways to improve the business climate.
Support in its effort to attract businesses to Grafton Science Park.
