ICYMI: Grafton's Memorial Day Ceremonies, Parade, 2018

Where do you sit to watch the parade?

GRAFTON, MA—So, where do you sit along the parade route? Grafton returns with its Memorial Day observances, festivities and, of course, the parade, this year on Monday, 28.

Here is the schedule of events:

Cemetery Ceremonies:

7:15 a.m. Old Farnumsville Cemetery, Providence Road

7:30 a.m. Fairview Cemetery, Providence Road

7:45 a.m. Sampson Square, with full ceremony

8 a.m. Wenc Square

8:30 a.m. Riverside Cemetery, Millbury Street

8:45 a.m. St. Philip’s Cemetery, Millbury Street

9 a.m. Old Indian Cemetery, 48 Oak St.

9:45 a.m. Grafton State Hospital, Pine St.

10 a.m. Pine Grove Cemetery, Route 30

10:15 a.m. Washington Mills Bridge water ceremony. This includes a dedication of a new, lost at sea
memorial.

This schedule is followed by a march to Quinsigamond Corner monument located at the corner of Route 140 and Route 122 North in North Grafton

10:30 a.m. Quinsigamond Corner

Parade Schedule:

11:10 a.m. Ceremony at Grafton Center. Parade starts at Norcross Park to a stop at the common, to Grafton High School via Oak St. to Brigham Hill Road and Providence Rd. for closing ceremonies.

At noon, there is a flag raising, scheduled fly over and reading dedicated to the missing at Grafton High School.

Veterans of any war, members of the armed forces, both men and women on leave and other patriotic organizations have been invited to the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars in the Memorial Day services and parade.
