Lane Closures On I-290 Eastbound In Worcester To Cause Delays

WORCESTER, MA – Motorists should expect more delays along I-290 eastbound in Worcester from Monday, Aug. 23, through Thursday, Aug. 26 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day.

Drivers will encounter temporary overnight closures of on-ramps and off ramps on I-290 Eastbound between Exit 18 (Grafton Street/Route 122) and Exit 25 (Plantation Street), according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).

The intermittent temporary lane closures, due to paving is weather permitting and may change without notice.

Appropriate signs, law enforcement details, and messaging will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.

Motorists are to follow the posted detour signs, reduce their speed, and use caution when traveling through the affected areas.
